When you take a break from a WIP, it is a complicated thing, but understandable.

Here are 5 things for you to consider as you debate Abandoning the WIP versus Taking a Break:

1.) Is this emotionally demanding?

2.) Consider research. Will this research be from your own experiences or outside resources?

3.) Consider the WIP. Is this fiction or non-fiction?

4.) Deadlines. Is the deadline realistic (This is important!)?

5.) If you take a break from the work, aside from time, what else would you be losing?

Time is resource and tool. Remember that.
