This week’s Encouragement Pages have given way to an essay that will be available during September 2021. The month of September has been designated at BACK TO WRITING MONTH. This is going to be good! -JBH

Here is a formula for writing boldly:

(Imagination x Vocabulary) – Fear + Time= Writing Boldly.

Let me say it this way.

All writers have an imagination they are used to tapping into, and all writers have an imagination that they don’t tap into often. I like to call this TCI. What is the TCI? The Complete Imagination is your imagination as a whole: the things you fear, you desire, that you love, lust or even hate. All these thing influence you as a writer.

Don’t shy away from this. Tap into it.

Today…for these few moments we have together, I want you take 4 deep breathes.

First breath.

See what you want to write.

Second breath.

Your imagination is yours to command.

Third breath.

You are allowed to create what you need to write what you want.

Fourth breath.

Create.

Repeat as needed. You’re welcome.

Blank pages are enemy…and friend.

They exist to serve and house all your imagine can hold! They sole purpose is to serve you.

Don’t leave them empty and lacking! They are dragons to slay. Murder them, dear ones, with your pen, ink and time.

Encouragement Pages-07/22/2019: Get It Off Your Head

There is a boldness that comes when you begin to write. It comes from a place of honesty, pain, imagination or escape.

Never think a word that you have put down was there by mistake. The first thing any writer has to do is get the idea off their head.

Get it off your head.

If you have an idea, don’t let it flutter. Don’t let it roll around with no end.

Be bold, dear scribe. Be bold.
