Encouragement Pages-07/24/2020, Regaining Focus (Part 3)

Hold on.

Take a deep breath.

Having an unfinished work is not the end of the world! Being distracted or overtaken by life which stopped you from finishing a work is a not a cause for alarm! It happens!

The toughest part will ways this, “Can I pick up where I left off?”

Which really translates to “Do I/Can I have the focus to write this?”

With refocusing your energy, you can.

With idenifying what you need to support your writing, you can.

If you make time to write a little a time, you can.

It is not impossible.

It’s a journey.

The words will be you map and light.

Write yourself where you need to be.

Your talent is the coin of the realm, a saving grace to the gloom of a bland world.

Flex the muscles, dear ones.

Write the pages, word by word.

Don’t fear the letters your hands have mastered!

Don’t fear the words that may be misspelled!

Fear the destruction of the worlds which will be destroyed if you do not write them down.

Fear NOT writing more than writing. It will always be more scary to begin than to end.

Sometimes the peace of mind in which you need to write has to be fought for. It has to be snatched from the trifecta of doubt, self-rejection and distraction. You have to be able to write when the world is–can be–soft or loud.

Writing, writing daily, is a decision that requires discipline and mild suffering. This type of suffering is seen when you decide to forgo that which is comfortable to do something else needed and necessary.

Take the time to write–and take it by force. Do not let the dragons–or their roars–win.

There are 29 days until the end of the year.

You have 29 days to start, revamp, revise and rewrite your WIP or begin another one!

Don’t make the mistake of trying to put off the writing due to the lateness of the hour. There will never be a great time to write. That is why you make time to write.

Make the time.

Take the time.

Make up the time.

Get to work.
